Andy Bosomworth
Dodge Coronet
At 21, Super Stock rookie Bozzy is younger than your average American Super Stock racer (-not that any of them could be described as 'average'!). His sweet '69 Dart Custom has its original 273ci V8 and the Bozz dials in low 17s.
But, as Dave Billadeau reports: "Young Andy Boz has really been bitten by the bug. After just half a season's racing Dodge Dart, he's been on the prowl for some more muscle. He has just put a deposit on a '66 Dodge Coronet with a 440 and 727 tranny, a good solid car that just needs a coat of paint. Watch out fellas, this new guy has his eyes set on his second season now!"
A coat of paint? The Boz, formerly known as 'that quiet lad' has got together with Dave Billadeau and the Coronet now sports period-style paint plus eye-spanking graphics. "There's no interior as such at the moment but it's going to be done out like a 60s drag car. Its got a line lock too -good for burnouts! adds The Boz.
A delighted Andy now has his car running in the 12s too. And as if that weren't enough, Bozzy gone steelies on back and Torque Thrusts on front -the finishing touch, just like some of the super stock cars back in the 60s! Old school!
