'72 Chevy Nova 

"Leaky Lee should have his 72 Nova complete by then..." advises a fellow member of the club they call LEAK.

Mike Honcho (er... real name Lee Mellors) will be running "in as many Super Stock meets as I can in 2009," he says, "my '72 Nova is still in the build-up stage (like most of them are) the engine is being built by myself as we speak and I'm working on the car as much as I can to get it ready in time." Looks like you should get to work in the garage Mike, and not try to build it on the beach!

The Nova is all steel, with a stock chassis but Mike may add Cal-Tracs and drag leafs, but he's not sure about that just yet. Drivetrain is a 355ci small bloke Chevy with stock block and heads with 10.5:1 (ish) compression. The engine was built by Eaton speed shop ("That's what me and Tom call ourselves when we fu*k about on our cars"), a TH350 with 2800 stall running to a GM 10-bolt with 3:08s which will be changed to late 3s or maybe even early 4s once Mike gets it to the track for some strip tuning.
