Chrysler Valiant Charger

Darran bought his '74 Aussie Valiant Charger 770 off Ebay in July 2006. He'd never even heard of an Aussie Charger until then.

He collected it from Kent Darran tells us, it came with new brakes but the interior all unfitted. "I've since found out that over 200 of these Aussie Chargers were imported into the UK by Chrysler around 1974."

"I have had to repair the chassis at the rear, sills, floor, footwell and a rust hole in the roof. Then I fitted the interior, gave it a good clean and got an MOT in February 2007 and used it that summer. Over the winter of 2007/2008, I fitted the 383ci motor and 727 auto box I already had and painted the engine bay at the same time. I've fitted a 8 3/4" axle with a limited slip diff.

Darren 'Ox Factor' is now building a 452ci motor to hopefully get him into the 12s.
